Job Description:
To provide the business with commercial thought leadership, insightful financial & commercial analysis, accurate financial reporting and robust financial, commercial forecasting models & business cases.

Job Responsibilities:
- Management and financial reporting (not financial accounting) across various dimensions, including weekly and monthly performance reporting, which includes being part of month end close process
- Monthly financial reporting to shareholders
- Ongoing analysis of key driver performance, including costs
- Understanding and explanation of variances to budget across both portfolio growth, revenue and costs.
- Ongoing engagement & partnering of business stakeholders, ensuring strong 2 way communication of finance requirements from & to the business and a strong understanding of link between strategic & operational drivers and business performance
- Delivery and support of annual planning process including:
- Annual medium term plan and annual short term plan processes
- Value adding finance & commercial input to support translation of strategic objectives into KPI’s, financial targets and forecasts
- Support and deliver periodic re-forecasts ensuring that latest operational drivers are understood and considered in highlighting risks & opportunities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the WFS strategy and build robust models and business cases to support and enable value adding recommendations/insights for both short term and long term initiatives and projects
- Follow up on approved business initiatives to assess and report on performance against financial KPI’s
- Supporting cost centre owners to make informed financial decisions for initiatives aligned to WFS strategy and operating plans
- Supporting cost centre managers to make informed financial decisions with regards to their annual budget and revised forecasts
- Build and maintain financial models which accurately forecast project and business performance
- Support and drive business case, investment & capital allocation governance in the business
Job Requirements:
- Business and commercial understanding including analytical ability to identify key value drivers and measures of success
- Financial modelling skills including building of robust financial models based on business value drivers, including income statements, cash flows, balance sheets, financial metrics and KPIs
- Understand and apply financial accounting principles and concepts including knowledge of IFRS; specifically as it relates to project finance, digital & other capital expenditure
- Understand financial processes and systems (General Ledger, Sub-ledgers and Budgeting etc.)
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Ensuring all business processes are considered when presenting financial outcomes to multiple stakeholders in the business
- Strong business partnering skills
- Strong communication skills to support effective stakeholder communication
- Strong written & presentation skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player
- Time management skills to effectively deliver multiple tasks to deadlines
- Relevant Financial qualification e.g. BCom Finance/B. Bus. Sci./or equivalent
- CA (SA)
- Minimum of 2 years (post-articles) experience with Financial/Management accounting experience and/or financial reporting and/or advisory experience.
