Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage execution for the brand/s, setting direction on how the brand mix is implemented in South Africa
  • Bring the consumer mix to life at retail through innovation & flawless customer execution
  • Unlock fuel for growth through net revenue management, gross margin accretion, and by driving strong ROI on marketing activities
  • Maintain a strong inter-agency and cross-functional team relationship to achieve brand objectives delivering brilliant brand building marketing plans (including media, PR, and shopper marketing initiatives)
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the brand including forecasting, budget management, data and market share analysis
  • Accountable for the analyzing of brand and business performance, brand health measures in the assigned markets.
  • Key Success Measures: Brand Growth: USG and UVG; Country market shares; Brand Equity; OTIF landing of assigned innovation projects
  • Key Relationships: Regional and/or Global brand teams, CD, R&D, SC & Finance

Job Requirements:

  • Evidence based decision-making: Use Marketing science and multiple data sources to inform growth strategies and optimize in-market brand performance
  • Commercial acumen: Understand brand profitability and the steps to take to improve results
  • Measurement and optimization: Set KPIs, track and optimize to achieve targets
  • Ability to multitask and deliver tasks within tight timelines
  • Ability to navigate and deliver through ambiguity and be thorough in follow-ups
  • Working with freedom and autonomy with internal and external stakeholders as well as driving tasks from start to end independently
  • Relevant Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of Marketing / Brand experience
  • Minimum 1-year Digital Marketing experience
  • Experience and/or ability to work with virtual teams and multiple stakeholders
