Job Description:

We are looking for an outstanding Engineer to support the development and communication of stewardship for all Mine and Tailings key performance indicator (KPI) metrics. Focus will be placed on ensuring all metrics required to monitor, track, and communicate performance are captured and reviewed. Participation in Mine Operations, Maintenance and Technical (OMT) team is required to develop action plans supporting the improvement of key metrics, leading to strong business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to operational stewardship reporting and reconciliation
  • Provide financial translation of mine performance metrics as they relate to mine KPIs
  • Identify risks and trends with data to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in strategic studies to identify focus areas and prioritize work for OMT managers
  • Apply professional knowledge in participating in complex assignments which may requires modification of existing processes/procedures
  • Ensure data reconciliation and best practice for data usage
  • Develop process for reliable data usage (QA/QC) requirements
  • Improve and execute communication packages for Fort Hills OMT teams
  • Apply professional knowledge in participating in complex assignments which may require modification of existing processes and procedures
  • Attend daily operational stewardship meetings, providing support to operations on performance analysis

Job Requirements:

  • You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • The shift schedule is a 4 days on / 3 days off rotation
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.
