Job Description:

• To be accountable for a team of Analysts supporting the Commercial Property Finance consultants, the Commercial Property customers and their Property Finance loan accounts.
• To ensure the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance provides a proactive service to the consultants and customers and meets the service standards expected by the customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance are trained and managed to support the Consultants with regards to providing accurate input into the credit applications and ensuring a high standard of credit application is maintained.
• Develops and maintains relationships with the PFC’s (Property Finance Consultants) and Standard Bank’s network of Personal and Business Banking suites and branches in order to act as the point of contact regarding complaints and for obtaining documentation and information from the Account Executives (AEs).
• Complete all compliance training within laid down timelines within Business Unit timelines.
• Maintains high standard of credit applications that comply with acceptable business guidelines by quality checking the credit applications to verify that they are complete and accurate.
• Assumes ownership of initial credit application preparation and is able to advise the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance on business that presents an unacceptable credit risk to the organisation.
• Ensures the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance is active in reviewing their portfolio of loans and is alert to changes in risk profiles of their portfolio.
• Provide guidance and support on the new ways of work (NWoW) culture and the creation of empowered teams.
• Integrate enabling functions as part of the business.
• Provide guidance and assistance on the sourcing of critical competencies and skills required by the front line.
• Manages a team to ensure effective delivery of objectives for the area.
• Fosters collaboration between direct team members and the broader finance community.
• Develops a high performing team by embedding the bank’s performance process, regular performance feedback and coaching. Addresses poor performance.
• Motivates team members and ensures that they receive recognition for work well done.
• Determines development needs of the team and ensures that development opportunities (training, rotation, on-the-job learning) are budgeted for and executed.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of customer profiles in the portfolio through regular discussion with the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance.
• Understands the role within the Specialised Lensing team and is committed to assisting and supporting others in the pursuit of business objectives.
• Ensures that all new service requests (queries and complaints) are logged correctly on Customer 1st.
• Ensure all sales procedures are carried out to meet the customers’ requirements and ensures the procedures are within the banks operating guidelines and product rules.
• Accountable for ensuring the account analysts support the PFC’s in exploring new opportunities and sourcing new business to achieve agreed budgets for new business and revenue.
• Supports the Analyst: Commercial Property Finance in managing the deal through business sign-on and credit assessment and ensures disbursement of funds.

Job Requirements:

• Degree:Business Commerce
• 5 – 7 years Experience in general banking and people management.
• 3 – 4 years previous experience in financial account analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
• 3 – 4 years experience in relevant construction industry, property development, quantity surveying or valuation experience.
