The Global Security Investigator leads and resolves internal and external, local, regional and/or global investigations, including but not limited to Insider Threat, Threats Against People, Missing Persons/KRE, Property Crimes, Fraud, Counterfeiting, Data Center Incidents and Supply Chain/IP Loss Incidents in a regional capacity around the world. They coordinate Meta’s response to workplace threats and executes various types of investigative activities to support business requests and external inquiries while providing leadership to the Investigations Center and Investigations organization globally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support an environment of Protecting People, Assets and Reputation through incident prevention, intelligence sharing and incident resolution.
  • Be a subject matter expert for Data Center investigations globally.
  • Provide expert consultative and problem-solving services to a variety of internal clients under general supervision from the Manager, Global Security Investigations.
  • Analyze preliminary evidence, identify relevant evidence to be obtained, and develop investigative plans.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and orderly case file documentation and database records.
  • Educate clients on policies, processes, procedures and guidelines and the relevance to the investigation at hand.
  • Understand client needs, build and foster relationships with clients, and deliver at a high service level.
  • Work with clients to identify solutions that meet business needs.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, organize and execute to favorable outcomes.
  • Complete tasks within time and financial budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines to mitigate legal risk.
  • Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Global Security best practices and handling of confidential.
  • Executes performance management routines and drives a respectful team culture centered on coaching, sharing meaningful feedback, open communication, listening and providing timely recognition to team members.
  • Provide guidance to team members on the utilization of structured analytic techniques to develop tailored intelligence products and provide threat warning notifications to Facebook decision-makers, regionally and globally.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for team members and develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to allow the team to scale and optimize operations.
  • Manage privacy and data security breach investigations in accordance with Facebook’s privacy standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Investigation and or Data Center Security work experience involving Insider Protection, Threats Against People, Asset Protection, Missing Persons/KRE, Property Crimes, Fraud, Counterfeiting, Data Center Incidents and/or Supply Chain Incidents.
  • Experience working on global teams.
  • Experience with investigative gathering disciplines and business reporting.
  • Experience organizing, prioritizing and investigating multiple incidents, as part of a growing caseload, with overlapping deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
  • Communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Undergraduate Degree in security, politics, business, economics, or other comparable field.
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities.
  • Experience in data analysis and analytic tools.
  • Experience working with a team spanning multiple locations/time zones.
