SANBS Vacancies in Roodepoort – General Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that SANBS buildings, property and surrounds are in excellent condition at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the provision of maintenance and repair services for Property, Buildings, Equipment and General handyman services.
• Manufactures and Installs Office and Laboratory Furniture and Equipment
• Ensures that sub-contractors are supervised effectively and efficiently
• Ensures that maintenance administration is undertaken effectively and efficiently
• Ensures that allocation and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Supervises staff to ensure good relations, teamwork, staff development and a professional service delivery

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Qualified Technical Diploma in either Electrical, Carpentry, Refrigeration or Instrumentation
• 3 -5 years experience in a supervisory position in a workshop and/or maintenance environment
• Knowledge and understanding of building regulations and machinery regulations
