Job Description:

As an Admin Assistant to the Reward team, you will provide professional and confidential support to the Head of Reward and the wider team, ensuring issue resolution and the efficient flow of information. This includes completing a range of administrative, analytical, and organisational tasks based upon corporate priorities with minimal supervision.

You will support the Head of Reward with their diary and appointments, proactively managing commitments through liaison with relevant business areas, and ensuring all meetings are up to date with relevant pre-reads. You will read and prioritise emails and manage queries in a timely and accurate manner.

You will coordinate job evaluation panels, arranging attendance of assessors and line managers, and tracking the required documentation. You will also coordinate team meetings, with timely and cost-efficient travel arrangements as necessary, and ensure the team is aware of key information.

To succeed, you’ll need to build a strong network with other PAs and team administrators within the business and work alongside to ensure smooth organisation of meetings and coordination of Leadership diaries.

You will also be supporting on managing the non-labour budget, tracking invoices, and managing the team’s expenses. You will provide secretarial minute taking for any meetings, as and when required, and support the executive reward team with documentation and tracking contractual changes.

Job Requirements:

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft packages to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Office 365) and knowledge of Sainsbury’s systems (or capability to learn at pace)
  • Proven written, verbal, and numerical skills
  • Understand and analyse data, paying attention to detail
  • Experience in minute taking for confidential meetings
  • Impact and influence skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to network with all areas of the business
  • Strong diplomacy and ability to balance conflicting priorities
  • A positive approach, with the ability to challenge and influence upwards
