Job Description:

The Compliance Officer: Safety Aviation will plan, develop, manage and administer company aviation safety and quality control/assurance programs.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with all Airworthiness regulation, User Guides, Advisory Responsibility: Circulars and Service Bulletins
  • Manage and translate updates from the Regulatory Authorities and assess the impact on the processes and procedures of the effected organisations, (Design & Development, Production and Maintenance) where applicable.
  • Manage the implementing of audit programmes in which compliance with all production/maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each type of component maintained (including the management and completion of audits and generation of audit reports).
  • Manage and Monitor the amendment of the organisation’s procedures and standard practices (MOE/RSM/POE/Compliance Matrix, including the associated procedure/s)
  • Manage the compliance with the current revision standards and any other applicable regulatory requirement and guidance material issued by the regulatory authority & certification bodies.
  • Generating and communicating Corrective Action Plans to the Regulatory/Certification bodies as well as to all internal auditees.
  • Manage and Co-ordinate action on continued airworthiness occurrences and initiate any necessary further investigation and follow-up activity.
  • Conduct or oversee the investigation of work-related incidents, ensures complete reporting and recommendations for remedial action.
  • Responsible to follow up and close non-conformances.
  • Analyse trends, identify and build action plans to improve quality compliance initiatives, and present recommendations to Management.
  • Manage the Compliance Monitoring Company Competency Matrix.
  • Provide Human Factors training to the organisation.
  • Shall have direct access to the Accountable Manager on matters concerning Aviation Safety and the Quality System.
  • Shall establish regular meeting forums in order to review compliance and appraise the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Manage the compilation, submission and notifications of the OE/RSM/POE/Customer’s compliance Matrix and any associated amendments, to the competent authority for approval.
  • Manage the communications of all major changes to the Regulatory Authorities, Customers & Certification Bodies.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of work relevant experience.
  • Experience in EMAR and EASA Part 145 & 21, ISO 9001, AS 9100, AS 9110, ISO, SMS etc.
  • Operational experience in aviation or another similarly demanding industry.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis, developing corrective actions, implementing improvements, and follow-up.
  • Quality assurance related leadership experience in an aerospace/aviation manufacturing, modification or production environment.
  • Experience in inspection techniques/methods/equipment.
  • Experience and preferably recognised qualifications in aviation accident/incident investigation and human factors.
  • Experience and preferably recognised qualifications in conducting quality audits and inspections.
  • A broad operational knowledge and experience in the functions of the organization (e.g. training management, aircraft operations, air traffic management, aerodrome operations, and maintenance organization management).
  • A sound knowledge of aviation safety management principles and practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Innovative and Self-Driven.
  • Leadership skills and an authoritative approach.
