Job Description:
As the Upstream Supply Chain Leader you will be responsible to organize and optimize the procurement of components with our suppliers by following the Schneider Performance System principles from last ad value of the supplier to point of use in the plant (physical and information flows, in close association with Material Production Handling and Warehouse Team Leads).
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supplier forecast and their accuracy
- Monitor and improve the upstream Supply Chain performance
- Develop local supplier’s base: improvement tools, competencies (Material management, SPS)
- Drive continuous improvement approach for Supplier-On Time Delivery & Upstream- On Time Delivery, Minimum Oder Quantity Analyses (MOQA), Lead Time Analysis (LTA), Days in Inventory(DIN), and raw materials based on SPS/SIM principles
- Pilot the containment, corrective and preventive actions to solve upstream supply chain issues of the plant using the 8D methodology
- Escalate to Supplier Quality Engineer for critical issues with suppliers
- Responsible for the implementation of rules and principles of management of suppliers
- Implement the Part Product Evaluation Plan, Transfer / Disengagement process, Supplier Approval Module (SAM) audit and Contract Logistic terms & conditions
- Use Lean tools for Supply Chain performance: Value Stream Mapping, Extended-Value Stream Mapping
Job Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain or equivalent related work experience
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in planning and procurement, with solid understanding of Sales, Order Management and the Manufacturing Process
- Customer-Centric, team player with the ability to drive process change in a mature organization
- Expertise using ERP Systems- Pointman experience a plus
