Job Description:

Maintain Quality Assurance policies, processes and procedures and ensure that product that is delivered meets all requirements in terms of performance, safety and sizing. Enforce international best practices to ensure consistency of fit and fabrication. Support Quality Manager in maintaining team environment. Support in the development of all QA related systems and procedures. Support Merchandise, sourcing and ethical trade teams in the execution of their strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assessing fit and construction methods to ensure sizing consistency.
• Responsible for all technical aspects of our brands
• Communicating with buyers and suppliers on fit, fabric and styling
• Rating and reporting of supplier orders
• Thorough knowledge of testing standards in areas such as strength, durability, colour fastness, water, heat and chemical resistance
• Supplier and Store visits and report back on these
• Analysis of customer returns
• Project work as and when required
• Managing, directing, leading and coaching junior staff.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in clothing production or fashion design
• Min 5 Years related experience
• Pattern making and grading knowledge and experience
• Fabric knowledge
• Previous garment technologist experience within a manufacturing or retail environment
• Ability to work unsupervised and to use initiative and be proactive
• Must be prepared to work overtime as and when required
• Thorough knowledge of fits and garment construction
• Code 08 drivers license
• Prepared to travel locally to visit manufacturers
• Computer literate
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Ability to mentor staff
