Job Description:

Job Requirements:

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:  Grade 12 or equivalent
• DESIRED EDUCATION: None
• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  None
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE Experience in private healthcare or similar environment; Switchboard operations and systems; hospital emergency procedures
• Internal:  Anyone in the hospital with a phone on the PABX system
• External: Anyone phoning in to the hospital
• Operate the hospital Telephone system daily as per policy and procedure
• Attend to all calls timeously in a professional manner ensuring that client expectations are exceeded
• Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained as per policy and procedure
• Check the Hospital alarm system daily and notify the relevant department in case of an emergency as per the Alarm Emergency Manual
• Follow the Hospital Emergency Preparedness Process in the event of an emergency as per Disaster and Emergency Plan
• To manage and coordinate all telephonic communication and systems within the hospital in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective communication on behalf of Mediclinic
