Job Description:
The position is responsible for the development of IndiGo’s Revenue Management (RM) within a competitive domestic framework, and the optimization of the airlines revenue and inventory. Working closely with other members of IndiGo, the manager shall be tasked with developing and maximizing all revenue opportunities for the airline.
The role requires heavy analytical skills and the ability to create maintain and evolve management reporting systems to provide an accurate and timely view of the department’s performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that overbooking is economically viable
- Develop and deliver revenue optimization to IndiGo
- Meet monthly revenue targets
- Report on booking trends and forecast revenue
- Manage the demand on a flight-by-flight basis to ensure revenue maximization
- Develop weekly and daily revenue reports and forward booking statistics
- Comprehensive reporting of competitor activity
- Flight optimization
- Manage no-shows and spoilt revenue
- Report on overbooking volumes
- Use of available business intelligence to position IndiGo competitively
- The role shall be responsible for responsible for the following areas:
- Management and update of the RM systems at IndiGo
- Ensure that IndiGo offers competitive fare availability
- Revenue Management
Job Requirements:
- Very good at excel, mathematical, quant abilities and good analytical skills
- Good written & oral communications and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze data and make pricing decisions on a short-term and medium-term basis
- Self-directed, with a passion for delivering results and willing to go the extra mile
Qualification & Experience:
- BA- Economics/Statistics or BSC – Economics/Statistics
