We’re on the hunt for a Business Development Manager. This person will effectively look after all our ticket sales that happen outside of our traditional website environment. You’ll have a team and portfolio that you’ll be expected to run like your own small business. You’ll be responsible for managing our relationships with third-party sellers and looking after special sales units within our organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish new distribution channels and agreements with various ticket sales partners locally and internationally. This would involve contracting commercial terms and overseeing the technological implementation of distribution systems
• Management of existing relationships with third-party sellers
• Conduct monthly reporting and oversee any relevant invoicing
• Manage a team that overseas practical work on accounts such as the management of refunds via these channels
• Be responsible for ensuring that these channels are always functioning optimally from a technological perspective
• Development of new sales and channel management opportunities this includes group travel, SME travel benefits, and the sale of flight inventory to Tour Operation companies;
• Managing and maintenance of our distribution via the GDS infrastructure, as well as regular updates to the trade on FlySafair offers and availability
• Spot business automation opportunities that make your team more accurate and more productive in the work that they do

Job Requirements:

• Business or engineering degree
• Understanding of eCommerce and how systems integrate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage a team
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
• Focused and goal-oriented
