Job Description:

To ensure the provision and effective management of occupational Safety, Hygiene, Risk, Quality and Security management process in the OU with a view to meet and improve on customer and business needs

Job Responsibilities:

• OU SHERQS management implementation and management
• Evaluating SHERQS compliance in the OU
• Leading SHERQS assessment in the OU
• Providing guidance and managing SHERQS interface with both internal and external stakeholders relevant to the OU
• SHEQS management embedding and process improvement
• Ensure effective and efficient customer services and liaison

Job Requirements:

• B Degree/B Tech Fire, Safety & Risk Management/Occupational Health /Environmental Science at NQF 7 with 360 Credits
• 7 years related experience in the Safety, Health, Environment, Risk / Quality environment
• Health and Safety Management System – OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, Environmental Management System – ISO 14001, Quality Management System – iso 9001
• Knowledge of auditing and auditing practices
• Thoroughly conversant with the OHS Act and regulations, COID Act as well as other applicable legislation pertaining to risk management practices
• Thorough knowledge of Risk Management principles, best practices of risk assessment methodologies
• Management of Environmental aspects and impacts and Environmental related legislation incl. EIAs
• Knowledge of project management
• Knowledge of Quality issues at technical and policy level
• Knowledge of Eskom Business and the integration of SHEQ systems in the business
• Understanding of Quality and Sustainability issues at a technical and policy level
• Knowledge of insurance principles
• Good knowledge of Eskom’s procurement processes
• Understanding of international and national agreements and trends in the sustainability
• Knowledge of safety and environmental systems e.g., SAP – EH & S etc
• Knowledge of telecommunications technologies and equipment
