CSIR Careers – Business Process Analyst

Job Description:

The CSIR has a vacancy for Business Process Analyst within the Business Excellence and Integration portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible to evaluate business processes, develop and implement solutions in collaboration and coordination with other teams. The position is based in Pretoria .

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform business requirements analysis by gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce action plans.
• Prioritise, allocate resources, develop project plans and manage projects in the area of responsibility, and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with CSIR Cluster Executive Managers, Operations Managers, Portfolios, Group Managers, Business Excellence and Integration staff, and ICT function.
• Deploy and implement tools and measures that facilitate effective and efficient delivery of support/ functional services to CSIR business (Divisions/Clusters and Corporate Functions);
• Roll-out Service Level Agreements annually and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of standards for service delivery by all Portfolios.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, develop and implement optimisation strategies;
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

Job Requirements:

• Well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
• A track record of leading and implementing successful projects;
• The ability to influence stakeholders and to work closely with them to determine effective solutions;
• Experience in business process mapping;
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or operations management with at least three years experience in business analysis or related field in research, technology and innovation or project environment
• Proven competence in the application of the relevant ICT tools and systems;
• Advanced technical skills and excellent documentation skills;
