We are seeking a professional like you to join our team in Huntsville, AL. You will be part of the CCE Huntsville Site Accounting team and report to the Site Controller. CCE, part of BASF’s Catalyst Division, is a global leader in the manufacturing of Mobile Emissions Catalysts.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate and accurate accounting of Precious Metals inventory as it moves through our production process, mainly focusing on our light duty slurry production area. In addition to inventory accounting, you will also have responsibilities in other cost accounting topics and production-related financial analysis. This role works closely with other members of the site accounting team, production management, and members of our logistics team.

Job Requirements:

  • Leveraging your Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or in a business field you will understand financial transactions as they are recorded in our general ledger, and the concepts behind precious metals accounting.
  • Your strong organization skills will be essential as you have an important role in the physical inventory reconciliation process that occurs quarterly in the light duty production facility.
  • Using your investigative skills, you will help the production team understand variances and track information in SAP all while relaying financial information to non-accounting team members.
  • Applying your attention to detail will be key in identifying inaccurate material movements in SAP, along with errors in production process orders.
  • Your collaborative mindset will be critical in the month-end closing process, where the accounting team will rely on the timely execution of tasks to ensure entries are entered before hard deadlines.
  • Having a strong computer proficiency will be essential as you will need understand an analyze large volumes of data along with navigate daily our general ledger.
