We are seeking a professional like you to collaborate with our Texas/ West Regional Service Center to develop scope and provide general support in several key areas for sites located across North America including US and Mexico.
This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your results orientation, strong implementation and communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to influence others to achieve results in the absence of a direct reporting relationship. In addition, you will have the opportunity to share your experience working on projects as a Process Engineering Lead and your ability to work in a diverse team environment – working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers, management, and global teams to solve problems and address systemic issues related to equipment reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leveraging your education in Chemical Engineering and experience in manufacturing/process engineering in a chemical plant, you will perform Process Design & Detail Engineering duties including performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, and sizing and selection of equipment for Tenders (as required) and for awarded Projects.
- Your strong analytical ability and keen attention to detail will be essential as you review client tender documents, specifications, datasheets, and verify FEED design and calculations.
- Demonstrating your experience in process safety, you will prepare engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, and HAZOP Studies and reports. Additionally, you will review and consult operation and maintenance manuals and provide necessary input to other disciplines and departments.
- Your strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, OSI Pi, Lotus Notes, and SAP, will be a valued asset as you develop and issue RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, clarifications, and conduct Technical Bid Analysis.
- Your experience working on projects as a Process Engineering Lead will serve you well as you review vendors’ documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.
- Utilizing your sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment (rotating and fixed), you will size relief devices and equipment, update PFDs and P&IDs, process equipment specifications, and final selection. Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
