Job Description:
The Business Insight Analyst will be responsible for driving analytics and reporting solutions throughout the various Finance Divisions. Business-BI partnership is a critical aspect of the business and the BI Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining this partnership and ensuring that business intelligence solutions are aligned with the goals of the business further ensuring business continuation.
The BI Analyst would closely align with the Business Intelligence (BI) teams and COEs on the current and future based BI architecture and solutions and provide strategic insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to understand and deliver performance insights and key analytics solutions
- Support business KPI’s by identifying data needs, and delivering value cases and turning data to business value
- Lead the acquisition, management, and deployment of information for Financial reporting
- Support the planning, budgeting, forecasting financial processes
- Manage relationships and expectations of business
- Collaborate with business and business partners to deliver analytical solutions aligned to other business solutions
- Design and develop cost effective BI solutions in compliance with requirements and the established architectural standards and guidelines
- Ensure project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
- Identify, clarify, and resolve system development and maintenance activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed
- Have a good understanding of the solution technology components and how they are used together
- Provide input and support to the internal and external audit processes
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all processes and procedures required to perform the BI Analyst role
- Manage cross-functional data governance while simultaneously ensuring adoption and adherence to data quality and process governance in the relevant collaborating departments
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy and validity in the IBM Planning Analytics/TM1
- Ensure data and information is accessible to departments and personnel across the business as per business requirements
- Play a leading strategic role in establishing, defining and overseeing Data Governance
- Provide training and support to business users
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and queries
- Maintain current knowledge of all relevant technological developments and seek opportunities to deploy new technologies
- Manage business partner relationships and SLAs
Job Requirements:
- Strong financial knowledge and experience in the planning, budgeting, forecasting processes
- Proven success as a business analyst delivering a well-balanced repertoire of business relationships, BI solutions, and business requirements in a
- Finance function
- High proficiency in all aspects of design and development of Analytical solutions BI
- Ability to modify, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Financial Analytics solutions
- Proven capabilities to model and frame strategic business scenarios that impact on critical business decisions, providing insights and reporting
- Solid understanding of transactional and dimensional modelling
- Understanding of System development methodologies, application development, change management, risk management and quality assurance
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Strong communication, relationship, and coordination skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and operation environments
- Experience in working both with technical and finance teams
- Ability to work cohesively with business support teams across the group
- Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Systems
- 4+ years experience in a Business Intelligence environment
- 3-5 years technical experience with analytics tools (Qlik/PowerBI/Planning Analytics/Tableau)
- 2+ years leadership experience
- Specialization in data sciences/data analytics
- Experience in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 will be advantageous
