Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen for a Planner to do planning, organizing and interdepartmental coordination. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.

Job Responsibilities:

• Call on customers
• Liaise with subcontractors
• Internal liaison
• Responsible for planning and scheduling of loads
• Plan efficient and safe routes for drivers whilst still ensuring the company remains within government legislation and within time deadlines
• Fleet planning and route establishment
• Provide support for the operational team, and ensure optimal customer service

Job Requirements:

• Matric
• Must have a relevant degree/diploma in transport management
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar field
• Previous experience management of commercial trucks and drivers or similar industry advantageous
• Computer literate (MS Excel). Knowledge and experience CTrack advantageous
• Clean credit and criminal record
• Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work after hours as and when required.
• Excellent people management skills
• Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Neat and presentable
• Very reliable
• Very high ethical standards – Honest and good work ethics
