Job Description:
The Patient Relations Representative supports the mission of Sutter to provide high quality of care by functioning as a frontline patient liaison within the Patient Relations group that is part of the Quality Improvement Department. The Patient Relations Representative position provides excellent customer service by listening to our customers, advocating for customer concerns, investigating, collaborating and accountable for resolving concerns, identifying and initiating the driving changes that continually improve the care and services provided to patients.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Communications and public relations background preferred
- Experience in healthcare based customer service preferred
- Very strong customer service and conflict resolution skills, along with an ability to work successfully with a wide variety of internal and external customers to achieve desired outcomes, are critical.
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing in a friendly, clear, confident, and concise manner with patients, families and all levels of the organization is imperative. Able to instill confidence through a calm, patient demeanor, and a professional appearance and manner. An understanding of how to communicate both positive and negative outcomes is critical.
- Proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook, and EPIC
- Preference with Midas exposure
