Job Description:
You will work with an expert team of petroleum geologists, participating in projects on assigned geographic areas and stratigraphic intervals. This will expose you to exploration and development concepts and techniques used by geoscientists in the petroleum industry, allowing you to gain valuable work experience across our business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Current enrollment in a formal co-op or internship program in 3rd or 4th year Geology at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term

- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

- Build and integrate surface and subsurface data into cross-section and mapping products to describe geographic distributions
- Develop familiarity of project area and interval(s) of interest through searches of existing publications and reports
- Interpret the well log, well test and/or core, or seismic information
- Synthesize findings into summary reports, including recommendations for future work
Job Requirements:
- This is an 8 – 12 month work term, from May 2020 – April 2021
- Some of these positions have been identified as safety sensitive
- You will be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray or Fort Hills
