Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts risk reduction activates in the physical environment and Life Safety features of the Building.
  • Collects deficiency information of the physical environment and disseminate summaries of actions and results to the Environment Of Care (EOC) committee.
  • Coordinates environmental risk assessment with Department Safety Officers (DSO).
  • Serves as liaison to schedule periodic inspections with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Collaborates with contractors and other team members to assess Life Safety risk and implement the Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM)
  • Serves as a member of the Environment of Care committee
  • Coordinates and conducts all Fire drills
  • Coordinates testing, inspection and repair activities of the Life Safety Systems with vendors

Job Requirements:

  • Three years’ experience in a healthcare Safety/Code Compliance.
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to effectively listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand facility drawings and technical documentation.
  • Ability to understand regulatory and building code requirements.
  • Ability to work with computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, e-mail etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and be able to work alone.
