Job Description:

As a Creative Director, Design, you will be responsible for oversight of all brand and product storytelling creative across all Sephora marketing channels, as well as preserving and enforcing the Sephora visual creative. Reporting to the Creative Vice President, your work will span the spectrum of concepting campaigns and new Sephora programs, inspire your team with visual direction, mentoring and coaching your team, working collaboratively at the Director and VP level, and helping scale up the Sephora marketing business by finding efficiencies in process and working with strategic agency partners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple projects and manage/motivate multiple teams
• Partner closely with Editorial, Visual Merchandising, Content Production and Marketing to develop and deliver creative for robust 360 client experience.
• Build relationship with cross-functional partners across the organization at the Sr. Director and above level.
• Direct the work of strategic agency partners.
• Demonstrate our Sephora values of Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative.
• Support Creative Vice President and partnering closely with Editorial Creative Director, you will lead your team to develop strategic marketing campaign concepts to provide creative solutions that meets business objectives.
• Direct your team to build concept boards, photo briefs, and design across multiple channels – stores and online.
• Oversee photoshoots and art direction at high level.
• Delegate/Assign work, including monitoring team bandwidth and finding synergies where possible.
• Present creative in various settings.

Qualification & Experience:

• Proficient knowledge of Adobe programs: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Management experience of a large team.
• 13+ years of design and art direction experience at agencies or inhouse creative team
• BA or BFA preferred in Graphic Design or Communication Design.
• Experience concepting/design/art directing campaigns.
• Experience in a variety of marketing channels including retail as well as digital.
