Job Description:

Senwes is seeking the services of a Group Risk Manager who will be responsible for facilitating the risk process through involvement at operational and executive level in order to add value and promote a Risk Culture within the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Key risk driver data & early warning indicators
• Management controls and products to mitigate risks
• Research in preparing for risk workshops / presentations
• Document and report research data
• Strategic initiatives and best practice research
• Facilitate risk workshops / discussions
• Interpret & analyse available information and reports to identify risks
• Group wide research
• Group operational involvement
• Continuous communication, including daily/monthly/annual reports where required
• Annual Risk Management Plan to be approved by the Risk Committee and Board
• Reporting on risk appetite, risk tolerance and key risk caveats to executive management and Risk Committee
• Updated Risk Matrix including control measures
• Design a framework for the effective and pro-active responding to key risks identified
• Identifying, monitoring and reporting on key response plans
• Scenario analysis on risk responses
• Increase the risk response rate and efficiencies of response plans
• Focus on an integration approach with regards to audit, finance, compliance, operations and the risk process

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience (Risk Management; Business Analysis; Audit; Financial Management)
• Relevant B-degree in Risk Management (Preferably Honours in Risk Management)
• Analytical thinking
• Conflict management
• Financial management
