Job Description:

  • Lead lubricants business to ensure delivery of business, financial and strategic targets, driving integration and delivering market share growth in both the short and long term while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Teamwork and people development will be key to the success of the business
  • Accountable for all lubricants deliverables including market share, OTIF, NPS, volumes, turnover, EBITDA, working capital, and cross-functional metrics with Sasol fleet and mining businesses and mobility business
  • Representing Sasol to external partners and customers

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for P&L delivery as defined in scorecard (Volume, GM, TCC, EBITDA, Working Capital, HSSE, Customer satisfaction index, etc.)
  • Direct, organise and integrate country resources and activities, with direct management responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, and HSSE. Ensure the entity operates within the agreed business frameworks, laws and governance.
  • Lead and oversee progress of the Lubricants Business Plan including enablers, risks, opportunities and portfolio management . Ensure that key financial objectives are delivered both in the financial year and aligned with the Growth Strategy imperatives.
  • Support creation of franchise maintenance & repair network
  • Member of the Commercial BU Leadership team, in support of the development and implementation of the SASOL growth strategy for B2B
  • Improve & deliver customer experience in target sectors and customer groups, ensuring voice of customer is represented in decisions taken
  • Lead the People Agenda developing an empowered, energized and diverse workforce with capabilities to meet current and future business needs. Acts as a role model and nurtures a positive organizational culture, embedding Sasol’s Values & Behaviours, HSSE / Wellness,

Job Requirements:

  • B Degree in Engineering/ Business or related discipline required; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of strong general management experience , with 10+ years in commercial roles, preferably in lubricants sales & marketing related functions / roles in B2C and B2B business. A strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving change and commercial delivery; customer centricity, deep experience in effectively leading and motivating teams
  • Sales & Marketing: strategic and financial delivery capability in a complex environment and supply chain experience
  • Business Acumen: An intuitive and applicable understanding of how a company or unit makes money.  Displays a thorough understanding of what drives profitability.  Maintains a market-focused approach to business.  Keeps an overall big picture understanding of the business and its interrelationships enabling a person to make better business decisions.  The ability to make good business judgments and quick decisions in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome.
