PathCare is a partnership of pathologists in private practice across South Africa that has been assisting doctors and healthcare professionals determine and confirm diagnoses since 1922. We are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.
An opportunity exists for a Medical Technician/Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the team in the Microbiology department at our Pinnacle Point branch in Richards Bay. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of displaying Microbiology competence and who has a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.
Job Requirements:
- National diploma/degree qualification or Medical Technician Certificate in Microbiology/Clinical Pathology
- Current registration with the HPCSA in Microbiology/Clinical Pathology
- Computer literate with Meditech knowledge is advantageous
- Must have at least a year of Microbiology experience post HPCSA registration
- Must have experience with basic trouble shooting on instruments
- Experience on the following instruments would be highly advantageous: Vitek, Biofire, Genexpert and Genechecker instruments.
