Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement a Reliability based maintenance culture
  • Adhere to he risk assessment requirement for tasks
  • Efficiently delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on all shifts and execute small and improvement projects
  • Adhere to schedules derived from the maintenance management system
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant
  • Assist in development planned maintenance schedules
  • Audit and ensure compliance with all the engineering standards and controls
  • Manage teams to ensure machine availability identify defective equipment
  • Optimise equipment in line with standard procedures to enhance performance and quality
  • Ensuring the achievement of all agreed KPI’s
  • Ensure routine calibration of maintenance equipment
  • Ensure effective record keeping of maintenance activities
  • People productivity and development including training training and development requirements
  • Adhere to standards, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 and Safety Standards
  • Maintain safety program and housekeeping requirements
  • Form part of Capex management team
  • Develop suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness
  • Effective spares management

Job Requirements:

  • National Diploma Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Government Certificate of Competency will be advantage will be advantage
  • Proven fault finding and trouble shooting skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations
  • Ability to communicate technical detail with all stakeholders and management
  • Extensive plant level experience with proven people management experience
  • Ability to interpret, analyse and use complex technical data
  • Ability to reference and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Ability to organize and prioritise tasks and consistency meet deadlines and schedules
  • Ability to grasp functioning of new technology
  • 10 Years leadership experience in can making/ ends making will be preferred
  • Min 5 years reliability maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and advanced coaching skills
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate people, assess and development employee skills
  • Ability to work with teams and lead decision- making process in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability
  • Understanding of financial acumen relevant for manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of life cycle cost analysis
  • Understanding of payback or return on investments
  • Custodian of rotable spares management
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft(Word, Excel, Power Point)
