Job Responsibilities:

  • Metrology Engineer will provide measurement guidance and support in the Metrology, Gage Repair & Calibration and Tool & Gage Inspection, and other areas in manufacturing
  • This includes support for the performance of calibrations, special measurements, measurement experiments, and maintenance of measurement equipment
  • The Engineer will devise new testing methods and calibration procedures, perform measurement uncertainty analysis, review calibrations, write technical and calibration reports, and specify/procure measurement equipment
  • Performs project management and design, development, evaluation, and quality control functions on highly complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to significant technical problems
  • Applies mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
  • Recognized authority within the area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Two or more years of engineering experience, including the performance of calibrations and special measurements
  • Six Sigma certifications
  • Experience in the areas of Electrical and mechanical measurement
  • Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Understanding of ISO, ANSI, ASME, and ASTM quality standards
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering and analytical concepts and techniques to highly complex technical projects
