Job Responsibilities:
- Metrology Engineer will provide measurement guidance and support in the Metrology, Gage Repair & Calibration and Tool & Gage Inspection, and other areas in manufacturing
- This includes support for the performance of calibrations, special measurements, measurement experiments, and maintenance of measurement equipment
- The Engineer will devise new testing methods and calibration procedures, perform measurement uncertainty analysis, review calibrations, write technical and calibration reports, and specify/procure measurement equipment
- Performs project management and design, development, evaluation, and quality control functions on highly complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to significant technical problems
- Applies mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
- Recognized authority within the area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Two or more years of engineering experience, including the performance of calibrations and special measurements
- Six Sigma certifications
- Experience in the areas of Electrical and mechanical measurement
- Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Understanding of ISO, ANSI, ASME, and ASTM quality standards
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred.
- Ability to apply advanced engineering and analytical concepts and techniques to highly complex technical projects
