Job Description:

They will work collaboratively with other specialists and stakeholders in the Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand department to formulate and execute Internal Communications strategies and activities that deliver timely and measurable support for Emirates Group departments’ employee communication requirements.

They will also manage the company’s corporate internal communications channels, proposing improvements as appropriate, and guide and manage junior internal communication specialists in delivering internal communications campaigns and activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish mechanisms to monitor employee feedback and engagement with internal communications channels and content, through the use of annual and other periodic staff surveys, and periodically audit all existing internal communications tools and requirements. Work with the business functions as required, to provide practical guidance and support on the interpretation and best use of employee engagement survey data.
  • Develop and implement an employee communications strategy framework to support HR and business leaders in engaging with various employee audiences across the Group in line with the Emirates Group brand values and people initiatives such as change management, reward and recognition. Develop and articulate the internal branding strategy for the airline and Group, in collaboration with the relevant Emirates and dnata brand teams, to support the direction for brand engagement.
  • Develop a comprehensive set of guidelines and processes to ensure that stakeholders are aware of the internal communications and employee engagement support services that are available to them, and formally take feedback from these stakeholders to understand how they expect their needs to evolve. Define a service development plan so that Internal Communications is able to evolve its services to meet the changing needs of the Group.
  • Conduct a needs assessment to identify and scope the requirements for internal communications, identify key stakeholders and support departments, and from this assessment, clearly define the scope of work needed to facilitate employee communications across the Group.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy for a diverse and dispersed workforce, in-line with human resource standards and practices. Ensure consistency of messaging in all internal communications to ensure an effective understanding of corporate strategies and objectives and engage staff within the direction of their business units or companies.
  • Ensure that all projects within the jobholder’s responsibility are managed to the standards set by CCMB to ensure delivery within scope, time, quality and cost. Maintain the project portfolio for the Internal Communications team.
  • Develop a model to measure the performance of projects delivered by Internal Communications. Monitor performance on a quarterly basis and share this information with VP-PR, IC and SM, and ensure that all projects are appropriately evaluated upon delivery against scope, time, quality, cost, impact and targeted KPI’s.
  • Create and manage the budget based on the annual Internal Communications plan, balancing cost efficiency with creative communications solutions, always ensuring these are delivered to high standards and that deliver against agreed project KPIs.
  • Manage and co-ordinate with various in-house and external suppliers to produce and distribute internal communications content all internal communications channels, and oversee all copy and design to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in an internal/employee communications or public relations role, with a multinational company or agency.
  • Strong multi-media storyteller and content creator, experienced in planning and managing internal communications activities.
  • Ability to develop measurable communications solutions to meet business requirements, and drive projects from concept to delivery.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present proposals professionally and to deal effectively with senior management and outside suppliers
  • Bachelors degree in journalism, mass communication or a related field
  • 8+ yrs experience in Marketing & Media Communication/ Internet Communications
