Job Description:

The Supply Chain Analyst will be part of the SCO (Supply Chain Optimisation) department and will take a leading role in developing Simulation Models for key DSV Multi-client Warehouses. The individual must be comfortable working with Big Data and clean, analyse, interpret and report back on large data sets. As a secondary priority the role will support in developing BI Reporting dashboards (using PowerBI and/or Tableau) and provide Supply Chain Consulting services to DSV customers in the form of Big Data Analytics, Supply Chain Opportunity Assessments, Network Design and Optimisation as well as Inventory Optimisation Services. The individual must be able to manage several clients across different industries and must be capable of gathering and translating their requirements into value adding services using DSV’s advanced software. Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining Simulation Models using for key DSV Multi-client Warehouses
  • Developing and maintaining Reporting Dashboards using BI Platforms (PowerBI and/or Tableau)
  • Working with Big Data: Clean, analyse, interpret and report back on large data sets received from DSV clients.
  • Support the Inventory Optimisation services provided to SCO customers
  • Support in Supply Chain Network Design and Optimisation
  • Support in Supply Chain Opportunity Assessments and Identify Supply Chain Improvement potential for SCO clients
  • Project Management
  • Service new and existing clients at a strategic, tactical and operational level
  • Provide periodic on-site support to SCO clients
  • Support the sales team when approaching potential clients
  • Understand the client’s business and supply chain requirements as input to developing and maintaining Reporting Dashboards using BI
  • Platforms (PowerBI and/or Tableau)
  • Develop a strong, trusting relationship with clients
  • Provide clients with project updates and reports and hold periodic meetings
  • Support in providing innovative solutions to DSV clients
  • Key Performance Measures:
  • Customer Service Level maintenance/ enhancement
  • Client KPI improvements and client revenue and profit growth
  • Revenue and profit growth of DSV SCO
  • Growth in number of DSV SCO clients

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or environment.
  • Own vehicle with driver’s license required.
  • Tertiary Qualification(s)
  • Degree or diploma in: Industrial Engineering or Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Science essential
  • Simulation Modelling working knowledge (FlexSim or other software)
  • BI platform working knowledge (PowerBI or Tableau)
  • Any ERP system exposure (SAP, Syspro or similar)
  • SQL, VBA, Python or R skills
  • MS-Project or similar project management software exposure
  • SAPICS qualifications (SCOR, CSCP, etc.)
  • Simulation Modelling working knowledge (FlexSim or other software)
  • BI platform working knowledge (PowerBI or Tableau)
  • Any ERP system exposure
  • SQL, VBA, Python or R skills
  • Inventory Optimisation software exposure, like JustEnough, OptiMatix, Netstock, Forecast Pro, Slimstock etc.
