Job Description:

Matterport is hiring a Head of Enterprise Security, Governance and Compliance to lead security & compliance across the company. The Enterprise security leader, reporting directly to the CIO, will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s most critical information and implementing modern security policies, practices, and technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide cyber security oversight through the establishment of a comprehensive and sustainable governance, risk management and compliance framework
  • Manage and mature security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Drive our certification and audit process to enable compliance across geographies arounds standards and regulations (eg SOC2, ISO, Fedramp, GDPR)
  • Be the voice of the company on security, compliance and governance matters. Lead the conversations around security and compliance with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to customer requests for information related to information security
  • Drive maturity of ITGC and related controls
  • Manage and mature the security stack with a pragmatic industrial-strength security posture.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and response to issues in a timely manner
  • Advise the company on security related matters
  • Assist with elevating security maturity for the corporate infrastructure and end user device ecosystem
  • Lead a talented team of security engineers driving the maturity and resilience of our Enterprise Security Program
  • Mentor, coach and lead the security team to meet their full potential
  • Assist in hiring new talent

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of cyber security experience leading key initiatives, establishing and enforcing policy, and working across an entire the organizational scope
  • 5+ years of technical leadership and management experience
  • Deep experience in designing, implementing and managing a mature security stack.
  • Demonstrated security leadership in SaaS product offerings
  • Proven track record of implementing the following programs, Incident response, threat intelligence, SLP/DR/BCP, IAM, Information privacy,
  • Security policy/advocacy and risk assessments
  • Prior experience working with external parties (agencies, customers, suppliers) on assessments and audits including working closely with Sales team to effectively respond to customer queries
  • Understanding of Fedramp requirements and needs within the enterprise
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to serve as security advocate with authority
  • Relevant compliance expertise for the industry, and familiarity of, or certifications including ISO, SOX, CISSP, NIST, PCI
  • Good understanding of corporate infrastructure and end user device ecosystem
